When you eat bananas, melons, or oranges from the supermarket you are ingesting ethyl alcohol, isopropanol, oxidized polyethylene, shellac, propylene glycol, silicone, and sulfur dioxide.
When you eat tomatoes, avocado, peaches, and plums, you are ingesting 2-6-dichloro-4-nitroaniline, botran, ammonia compounds, and dimethylpolyoxane. (see www.garynull.com for information on aniline containing substances)
When you eat sweet potatoes, onions, parsnips, and beets you ingest fungicides imazilil, benomyl, and thiabenzadole. These substances are cancer causing as well as sources of birth defects, mutations, and immune system damage. They cannot be removed by peeling and are used to allow longer shelf life (not fresher or safer food).

A public notice issued in Washington, DC, warned that a high level of bacteria in the chlorinated, fluoridated city-system water made it unsafe for the elderly, infants, AIDS & organ-transplant & dialysis patients. Chlorine oxidizes lipid contaminants in the water creating oxysterols & free radicals. It destroys protective acidophilus, which nourishes friendly gut organisms where about 60% of our immune cells operate. Chlorine combines with organic impurities in the water to trihalomethanes (THMs) or chloramines. Chlorine in swimming pools reacts with organic matter such as skin cells to form chloramines. Chloroform can be 70-240 x higher in the air over indoor chlorinated pools. After an hour's swimming in these, researchers found chloroform concentrations in swimmers blood was 100-1093 ppb. We inhale chloroform every time we take a warm shower or hot bath. This increases cancer by 50-100% in a lifetime. The chlorine content was well below EPA standard. Heart attack incidence closely match the areas of chlorination. Chlorination spread throughout USA in 2nd & 3rd decades of the last century, about 20 years before the mushrooming of heart attacks. 8 October 04 - NEW YORK (Reuters) - Johnson & Johnson is warning doctors that patients taking its rheumatoid arthritis drug Remicade may have a three times higher risk of developing lymphoma, a blood cancer, the company said on Friday. Risks are similar for similar drugs like Humira and Enbrel. Remicade already cites risks of lowering white blood cells (leukopenia) and platelets (thrombocytopenia). "This just spotlights the fact that there is no long-term safety data on this class of drugs and it's not clear what else is going to come out of the closet," said Henry Dummett, an analyst at World Markets Research Center. In August, U.S. health officials said 12 Californians who had taken Remicade or Enbrel had tested positive for tuberculosis. Two of those infected died.

22 September 2004 - Comments from a person who had a bullet lodged in his body, and became depressed. He was constantly told the bullet was not connected to the depression and not to have the bullet removed. He finally, after years of suffering, drugs, and poor treatment from doctors, had the bullet removed. His depression cleared.

More than 10,000 patients may be dying every year because of adverse reactions to drugs prescribed to treat ailments such as heart disease and arthritis, a study indicates.

Daily low-dose aspirin taken to counter heart disease, warfarin and other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and diuretics were the most common medicines implicated.

Aspirin and other NSAIDs can cause bleeding of the stomach, and diuretics, prescribed to counter fluid retention in heart disease, can lead to dangerously low potassium levels.

Authored by Barbara Starfield, MD, MPH, The Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) reported that by comparing 16 "health markers" considered indicative of good health, the U.S ranks on average 12th out of the top 13 countries in regard to the health of it's citizens. These countries, listed in order of their ranking (with the first being the best) are Japan, Sweden, Canada, France, Australia, Spain, Finland, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, the United States and Germany.

With regards to separate health indicators, United States ranks as follows:

- 13th (last) for low birth weight percentages
- 13th for neonatal mortality and infant mortality overall
- 11th for post neonatal mortality
- 13th for years of potential life lost
- 11th for life expectancy at 1 year for females, 12th for males
- 10th for life expectancy at 15 years for females, 10th for males
- 10th for life expectancy at 40 years for females, 9th for males
- 7th for life expectancy at 65 years for females, 7th for males
- 3rd for life expectancy at 80 years for females, 3rd for males
- 10th for age-adjusted mortality

Research by nutritionist Dr. David Thomas reveals that the food we eat is poorer in nutrients than it was during world War II.
Modern farming methods are blamed for the decline in minerals such as copper, iron, magnesium & potassium in fruit & vegetables.
Vitamin loss could be exacerbated by fruits being picked before they are ripe & they are often flown long distances. Dr. David Thomas investigated the fall of nutrients in 64 foods by comparing data from government-backed scientific studies between 1940 & 1991. The figures were published under the auspices of the Medical research Council, Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries & Food & Royal Society of Chemistry.
In just 13 years between 1978 & 1991 vegetables lost 57% of their zinc which is an important element for the immune system & male fertility.
Since 1940 vegetables have lost 76% copper, 46% calcium, 27% iron, 24% magnesium & 16% of potassium.
Fruit has lost 19% copper, 16% calcium, 24% iron, 15% magnesium, 22% potassium.
Dr. Thomas said eating fruit & vegetables is still beneficial but continuing falls in nutrients could lead to deficiencies in some consumers.
The findings confirm an earlier study, published in the British Food Journal, which found similar changes in the nutritional composition of 20 fruits & 20 vegetables between the late 1930s & the early 1990s. D. Mail, 9.2.04
