Healing and Your State of Health
Summer has arrived in
the Northern Hemisphere
- Time
to change to foods that help detoxify and rejuvenate your small intestine and
heart. Small Intestine health also has a deep connection to your pancreas.
This is beneficial to people with diabetes.

You also may want to learn about
ways to stay cool in the warmer, even hotter, season.
Now that Spring has arrived it's time to turn your
focus to your liver and gallbladder for cleansing and detoxification.
The liver has hundreds of functions and in this time
when we have so many ever increasing types of pollution to wade through each day
it is much more important to care for these organs during this time.
Of late a great deal of interest has focused on
Turmeric (Curcumin). Using this herb in spring is of great help to your
liver and gall bladder. Turmeric helps your gall bladder to release bile
which helps in the digestion of fat. It also has antibacterial and
anti-inflammatory properties to help prevent infection and inflammation.
It is considered to be anticancer, and beneficial to people with diabetes who
often have difficulty digesting
fats.

Colon cleansing just isn't enough and in this
season of the year,
winter
in the Northern latitudes. It is best in winter to focus on cleansing and detoxifying your
kidneys and bladder.
Most people truly do not understand the
importance of
detoxification and it should be understood that it is not just a cleanse.
The two are coincidental but cleansing may often not bring about detoxification,
especially at the cellular level.
Most people too think that most of the
information they read or hear about colon cleanse products is to be trusted,
when so many of these products contain inferior ingredients and they may be much
too strong for your body's subtle energy.
The basics, I think, begin with an
understanding of two important parts of detoxification:
Phase 1 and Phase 2 pathways
in your liver.
Your lungs, liver and kidneys, intestinal
system, along with skin, are detoxification organs. Most everyone knows
that it is very important to keep your liver healthy so that it is able to
cleanse your blood and the many the functions it performs.
Remember too that with any detoxification
plan your intestinal system tends to become sluggish and you may be affected by
constipation.
This can be more problematic for you if you are not accustomed to adding
fiber
supplements to your food plan. For this reason and many others, we encourage
you to use high quality
probiotics and digestive
enzymes daily.
We'll travel through organ systems throughout
this year. Our hope is that you come away with a new understanding of how
you can - over time - create a new way to understand health.
