Blood Pressure
Care Naturally
A Review
By Leanne Wylet, B.A.
This booklet was written to help educate patients and public at large about how to care for blood pressure naturally without taking prescriptions drugs.
Is it clearly written using easily understood lay terms about high blood pressure (hypertension). A definition of essential or primary and secondary is given to help draw the reader in to want to learn more. The paragraphs go in a logical progression topic by topic. The booklet started with defining what high blood pressure is and how it develops. Also covered are some criteria to determine what degree of high blood pressure should cause concern.
With this foundation laid the booklet explains that in 95% of patients there is no specific cause for mild elevations (primary or essential). In these cases, diet and healthier life style changes are recommended. If making these changes alone isn't enough than the reader can explore the option of taking prescription drugs with their many negative side-effects or seek natural alternatives.
This booklet does an excellent job of describing the principles used to build the foundation of health in a clear concise manner. With this foundation it is easier for a patient/client to be educated enough to advocate for himself what treatment plan will best suit him: prescription
drug(s) with their harmful side effects or choosing instead well-researched natural healing techniques to aid the body to work toward healing at the cellular level.
Besides the physical under lying causes discussed above the booklet closes by mentioning the importance of addressing emotional hypertension too. For emotional related high blood pressure seeing a counselor or therapist, biofeedback, meditation, massage, deep breathing, acupuncture, chiropractic, homeopathy and exercise are briefly discussed.
This booklet can serve as an excellent resource to aid health care providers and clients/patients to explore high blood pressure (hypertension) and reach a joint decision on how best to develop an effective treatment plan.
